Red Stripe Beer is Jamaica’s beer since 1938. The Beer is brewed by Desnoes & Geddes or D&G. They are called it Jamaica’s Beer. The beer was founded in Jamaica. The recipe for Red Stripe was first produced in Galena Illinois. Then it was sold and brought to Jamaica. Jamaican drinkers look forward to having a Beer after their day is done. This amazing tasting cool and refreshing beer is the perfect thirst quencher on the island. Over the years, many Jamaicans as well as many tourist who visit Jamaica have grown to love the beer.

Red Stripe Beer Alcohol Content
When it comes to beer, many beer drinkers are loyal to their countries local beer and Jamaicans are no different. Some Jamaicans will not drink any other brand of beer. The alcohol content is 4.7% or ABV (Alcohol by Volume). D&G brew Light Beer, Dragon Stout and other beverages. The Light Beer has an alcohol content of 3.6% and the Dragon Stout alcohol content is 6.8%.
Where is Red Stripe Beer Made.
D&G Limited sold 51 percent of the company to Guinness Brewing Worldwide, which is now Diageo in 1993. Since the sale, Red Stripe distribution has increase on the international market. Today, Red Stripe is brewed in Jamaica, New Brunswick, Canada and La Crosse, Wisconsin in the US. The Beer that’s brewed in Jamaica is distributed to Brazil, Canada and Europe.
