Tessanne Chin of the Voice
On the October 14th episode of a TV singers competition in the USA called “The Voice”, Jamaican singer Tessanne Chin was at the top of her game taken her vocal cords to new heights. The competition between the singers was dubbed “an epic battle between two vocal power houses”. Ms Tessanne Chin of the voice delivered a beautiful breathtaking performance according to the judges beginning with Blake Sheltdon, Christina Agulara and Cee Loo Green. The judges went on to say that the competition was stiff between the two ladies because “both are vocally gifted and have the ability to make the audience and judges feel the power of their voices.”
In the end Jamaica’s own Tessanne Chin was the glorious winner for that night as the competition continues. Ms Chin as her name states is of Chinese descent from her father while her mother is black and English Ancestry. She started performing at an early age in Jamaica. Her father Mr. Richard Chin was and still is very, very instrumental in her career while her Mom offers full support. In fact, Tessanne has a song titled “Who” which is a personal favorite of her mother, so congratulations to the family. It’s simple amazing when you think about the thousands of singers auditioning for the “Voice” and for Tessanne to be selected and made it this far is an honor.
According to Paul Caustic who was one of Tessanne’s first produce, her career did not take off in Jamaica because she was a rocker. Yes, Tessanne Chin started her career singing Rock Songs with her band, “Mile High”. As people can imagine an artist in Jamaica singing rock songs does not get a lot of air play. Musician/Producer Paul Caustic went on to say, the first time he heard Tessanne Chin, her voice reminded him of Pink and Kelly Clarkson and at that time he knew her future was bright. AjamaicaExperience says best of luck to Tessanne.
