PM Portia Simpson-Miller at UN 68th General Assembly
PM Portia Simpson-Miller at the 68th General Assembly at the United Nation Headquarters in New York called for Reparation to countries that were driven by the Atlantic Slave Trade. As Ms Portia Simpson-Miller address the United Nation General Assembly and all the global leaders, she express world economic concerns. Jamaica Prime Minister is look for global solution to economic devastation around the world. Ms Portia Simpson-Miller is open to any idea that can help to better Jamaica’s social as well as economic advancement both abroad and local that will improve the country’s image. Those were some of the message from the prime minister to the UN General Assembly in New York.
An additional topic of the Prime Minister was to end the economic sanction against Cuba. The Prime Minister also used this trip as a relationship builder with world leaders starting with the President of the United States President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama.
